The stereotypical sorority girl according to the media:
-pearl wearing, prim and proper, polite, uptight
or
-slutty, vindictive, will do anything to be popular or for attention
or both??

Sure! Wouldn't any of us want to be this beautiful? But is this picture even real? Has it been altered or airbrushed? Probably so! And that would mean that being this beautiful is impossible! But because it is published and distributed as being real and a possiblility, a lot of women believe that it is obtainable and become obsessed with trying to achieve it and self loathing when they can't! This is where the media has to become more responsible. Yes we want to see attractive women representing us but not unreal women!
I think that regardless of your inspiration it is a good thing for a person to try to look their best. If a person resorts to unhealthy measures to achieve this image, then it is a personal problem, not the meidi's problem.
Shortly after posting my last comment I realized that I had mor to say.
WE CANT ALL BE THE BEST! If we all were the best, then there would be no attraction to photos like this one.
This is clearly some sort of orgainized photo shoot. So they hand picked the person who would look the Best. The reason that people look at this picture is because she is Better looking than most of the population. If she was average looking or sub par nobody would care to look at the picture at all and the photo shoot would be completely worthless.
